Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath informed the State Legislative Assembly that as many as 6,075 government schools need toilet facility.
While replying to a question raised by MLA M Venkateshwara Rao and others, Sailajanath said to provide toilet facility to 6,075 schools, the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 42.52 crore to construct 12,150 toilet units on January 21 this year.
Further, to provide drinking water facility to 10,104 schools, the government sanctioned an amount of Rs 78.64 crore under National Rural Drinking Water Programme on January 24 this year. He assured the House that toilet and drinking water facilities would be provided by the next academic year. (INN)
