Govt Res Junior Colleges set a record with 92.5 per cent, Srihari felicitates 27 top students

The Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiam Srihari today distributed the prizes and certificates to the meritorious students of the Telangana Residential Junior Colleges managed by TREI Society in the state. At a program at Secretariat here Srihari felicitated the top 27 students including five of the residential colleges and distributed gold medals and cash awards from Rs 50000, Rs 30000 and Rs 25000 respectively for first, second and third rankers. The five residential (Gurukul) students who passed the IIT Mains were presented with laptops on the occasion. Srihari stated that 405 students passed out of 438 students appeared for the 2nd year Intermediate Public Examinations held in March 2017 with 92.5 pass per centage. He said that five students (4 MPC, 01 BPC) stood in top 10 positions in the state, 23 students qualified in IIT Main Examination 2017.

Srihari also said that in the Intermediate First year saw 84.4 pass percentage with 396 students passing the examination out of 469 students appeared. The Deputy Chief Minister said that 32 students (21 MPC and 10 BPC and 01 MEC stood in top 10 positions in the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that TSRJC Sarvail (Gen-Boys) Yadadri, Bhuvanagiri district secured 100 per cent results out of 145 students appeared 140 students secured A Grade.  TSRJC, Hasanparthy (Gen-Girls) Warangal Urban district out of 167 candidates out of which 161 passed , 147 secured A grade the percentage. TSRJC Barkas (Minority Boys) Hyderabad in which 64 appeared 54 passed in which 29 secured, he added.  (NSS)
