To expedite Metro Rail project works, the Government had released Rs 75 crore to Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) ltd for immediate spending in the remaining few days of the current financial year. In this connection, Finance Secretary Mr L Premchandra Reddy has issued a budget release order, HMR said in a release here today. The amount will be used mainly for land and structural compensation of affected properties, road widening and other traffic improvement works being carried out by HMR. The carriageway on both sides of NH 9 between Miyapur and LB Nagar was being widened to get two additional lanes in each direction. Funded by HMR, the works are going on at a brisk pace from both Miyapur and LB Nagar ends of the Metro Rail corridor I, the release added. UNI
