Hyderabad, July 13: the Central government is regarding Telangana issue as an economic issue rather than a public issue. Mr. P Chander Shekhar former minister on Tuesday alleged this during a press conference. Deploring the reports that central government is reviewing the Telangana issue on three possibilities, he said that the central government is trying to settle the Telangana issue as an economic issue instead of deeming it as public struggle and people’s demand. He told that instead of paving way for Telangana formation, the central government is behaving as if it is launching an advertisement campaign before introducing a new product in the market.
Mr. P Chandershekhar told that people’s sentiments are being exploited by the central government and it is being tried to play with the lives of Telangana youth.
He enquired “if it was difficult for the Congress to form Telangana then why it allied with TRS in 2004 and included Telangana issue in the presidential address.”
He demanded the central government give an explanation to Telangana people why it is contemplating upon three alternate ways.
