Govt. plans Minority Welfare through development of Waqf properties

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali reiterated that government will ensure protection of Waqf properties. Several complaints have been received stating that occupants of Waqf properties in and around Hyderabad are trying to own the Waqf properties by taking advantage of land regularisation scheme. He said. However he assured that government would not only protect every inch of Waqf property as promised but would also prevent illegal occupation in future too by providing judicial powers to Waqf Board.

Mr. Mohammed Ali clarified that land regularisation scheme aimed at benefiting the poor families and no one could own Waqf property taking advantage of this scheme.

He maintained that the government had planned minority welfare through development of Waqf properties.
