Telangana government has sought details from revenue officials regarding encroachment of Waqf properties and lands. Thus TRS government has begun preparing to act in connection with the removal of illegal occupation.
Highly placed sources told that government is focussing on government and Waqf lands in the city and outskirts. Earlier governments had given thousands of acres of land to various multi national companies and private institutions in those areas.
On the direction of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao revenue department has been directed to submit a detailed report regarding lands in the city and outskirts.
