Hyderabad, February 21: The State Government today ordered an inquiry against senior IPS officer S A Huda following allegations of corruption against him. The allegations were made by KC Prakash Rao, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, Warangal, in the form of a petition. Huda is presently posted as Controller, Legal Metrology. Prakash Rao, in his petition submitted to the government on January 2009 made serious allegations against Huda pertaining to the functioning of the Legal Metrology Department.
Based on the petition, the Government has appointed senior IAS officer, Pankaj Dwivedi, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and Special Chief Secretary, as the inquiry officer to probe the allegations against Huda, a 1979 batch IPS officer belonging to Orissa. Pankaj Dwivedi would begin his enquiry shortly. He has been asked to submit his report at the earliest.
Huda earlier worked in Police Transport Organisation and Vigilance and Enforcement.
He has mostly been holding non-core postings. Huda has authored a couple of books on policing.
