New Delhi: Shahi Imam Masjid Fatehpuri Dr Mufti Mukarram Ahmed said it is unfortunate that a union minister is encouraging criminals. Government and Supreme Court should enact a law so that incidents taking the country towards destruction could be stopped. He said the minister should immediately be suspended.
Secretary-General Janata Dal United Kunwar Danish Ali said since the Modi government came to power mob lynching cases are on the rise. NDA leaders and government ministers are supporting them. He said it is not the case of any particular religion. If it continues the poor will not be heard anywhere.
President All India Congress Committee Minority Department Nadeem Javeed said the government is not taking notice of the union minister’s garlanding the accused, which is unconstitutional.
This puts a question mark on the government’s stand.
