Hyderabad: Government has decided to continue its claim on 1654 acre land of Dargah Husain Shah Vali. Thus the Minority Welfare Department faced disappointment just before the final hearing of the case in Supreme Court when the representative of the government hinted to the advisor for Minority Welfare and its officials that the government will claim its ownership in the case and there is no likelihood of government withdrawing the claim in favour of Waqf Board.
It is said that when the advisor for Minority Affairs tried to know government’s stand on the issue, the chief advisor to Chief Minister made it clear that government will stick to its previous stand.
It must be noted that it was demanded from various quarters that the government shun its attempt to declare Waqf land as government’s land and withdraw its claim in favour of Waqf Board.
