Telangana government is exploring the possibilities of reorganisation of Waqf Board and formation of a 3-member committee. Following stay by High Court on the appointment orders of Special Officers Waqf Board, Telangana government is trying to get relief against the High Court order.
High Court had issued stay order on March 24 revoking the appointment of Special Officer. Government is preparing to appeal to division bench against the verdict given by single bench. Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel met Advocate General Ram Krishna Reddy in connection with the case and sought his opinion. It is said that the government is also seeking legal opinion from advocate general on formation of a 3-member committee.
