Hyderabad: Medical Council of India permitted for the establishment of Govt. Medical College and Teaching Hospital at Mahboob Nagar. In this way, Telangana State would get 150 more medical seats from the academic year 2016-17. Mr. KCR will lay down the foundation stone for the construction of Medical College building very soon.
Dr. Lakshma Reddy, Health Minister of Telangana State told that it is a gift on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day. So far, Telangana State had 850 medical seat which will now have 1000 seats.
It may be mentioned that there are already 5 Govt. medical colleges in Hyderabad (Osmania and Gandhi), Warangal (Kakatiya), Adilabad and Nizamabad.
