Govt to make right to justice a fundamental right: Moily

New Delhi, November 11: The government is working to enact a law to make right to justice a fundamental right for Indian citizens, Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily said here today.

“We (the law ministry) are already working on a system to make right to justice a fundamental right,” said Moily in his inaugural address to the 23rd Law Asia conference here.

Maintaining that denial of justice is one of the main reasons for the growth of Naxalism in this country, the Law Minister also stressed upon making legal aid programme more effective and efficient so that all the sections of the society, including the poor, could have better access to justice.

“We need to have efficient legal system in the country to achieve inclusive growth.
