State CPI secretary Dr K. Narayana today lambasted the State government for encouraging the Private Engineering colleges instead of strengthening the government colleges.
Narayana felt that the government was more interested on privatization and corporate sector. He alleged that the State government was trying to privatize education system in a phased manner. He also felt that educational standards in the government colleges were declining as the government was encouraging the private sector colleges. He also accused the State government of adopting the same attitude in the Arogyasree scheme. (NSS)
