‘Govt job is god’s gift — serve public sincerely’

“An extremely small proportion of people are fortunate enough to succeed in securing Government jobs. They should, therefore, treat it as a God-given opportunity and put their best foot forward to serve the people with dedication for the larger good of the society”, observed Vinod K Agrawal, IAS, Director-General, Dr MCR HRD Institute & EO Spl. Chief Secretary to Government.

           

Participating in the inaugural function of three-week Training Program for the 44 newly recruited Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors launched on October 31 at Dr MCR HRD Institute, Agrawal said learning on the part of the trainees will take place only when there is an intrinsic motivation on their part to learn. “Training will achieve its cherished goals only when the trainees start learning from multiple sources, that is, their trainers, co-trainees, their own efforts, and through experience”, he opined. He added that training is a continuous process, rather than a one-shot affair, and underlined the need for learning throughout one’s working life.

           

Sandeep Kumar Sultania, IAS, Commissioner, Transport Department, has said knowledge and skills are important in their own right, a well-rounded personality and a right set of attitudes are important prerequisites to succeed in the present-day competitive world. He stated that the job of the Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector brings in its wake huge interface with public. “Only those officers who are good in terms of people-related skills alone will be able to do full justice to the demands of this job” he added.

           

Dr Tirupataiah, IFS, Additional Director-General, Dr MCR HRD Institute, said the content of the training is multidimensional in nature and addresses physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual demands of the job of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors in order to ensure that they turn out to be not only efficient officers but also exemplary human beings.

           

B. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Commissioner, Transport Department called upon the trainees to make the optimum use of the training, considering the fact that it would empower them to discharge their duties efficiently. The Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors have undergone the first spell of training in RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy. Currently, they are undergoing training at Dr. MCR HRD Institute.

            Earlier, Saka Venkateshwar Rao, Course Coordinator welcomed the gathering. Anil Kumar, Faculty Member, proposed a vote of thanks. (NSS)
