New Delhi: Needling the BJP, ally Shiv Sena on Monday said the present government in Jammu and Kashmir is more inclined towards separatists than nationalists and it may turn a blind eye to troubles there to save the dispensation.
Also taking a dig at the RSS, Sena said before giving lectures on nationalism, it should stop extremists from conducting operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The RSS is demanding separate statehood for regions having a population of 50 lakh. If states are broken apart today, it won’t take time for the country to break apart as well. If the RSS doesn’t understandthis, they should stop giving lectures on patriotism,” the Sena said in an editorial in party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’.
“Before giving lectures on patriotism and nationalism, they (RSS) should first stop extremists from conducting their operations in Jammu and Kashmir,” it said.
The Sena said BJP might turn a blind eye to waving of ISIS flag in Jammu and Kashmir and take no action against those who chant “pro-Pakistan slogans” as it would want to save its government there.
“The present government in Jammu and Kashmir is one that is more inclined towards separatists than those who chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai. As compared to the previous government, there is much more nuisance happening in the state today,” it said.
Commenting on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent comments that China and Israel too attained independence around the same time as India, but never cast aside their goals even as their march forward was wrought with struggles, the Sena said he (Bhagwat) should remember both these nations have never compromised on the issue of nationalism.
“Both these nations did not play the game of politics with the enemies of the nation and neither did they allow waving of anti-country flags on their soil,” the Sena edit said.
