UP Govt. initiates steps to support sugarcane cultivators

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that his government has made adequate arrangements for helping the farmers in sugarcane cultivation.

“The market was low for sugar and sugarcane alike but the government helped the mill to run even if it had to give money from the budget. Therefore, the prices of sugarcane, that had been decided earlier, will remain the same,” said Yadav.

He also announced that new tourism policies have been made to increase the tourism in the state.

The Chief Minister, who was addressing the media after a Cabinet briefing, added that new policies have also been framed to benefit those owning heritage properties. (ANI)
