Prof. S.A. Shukoor MD of Minorities Finance Corporation while addressing a press conference yesterday gave the details Govt. of India scholarship for Minorities for the academic year 2014-15. Applications have to be registered online for pre-matric scholarship. The last date of submission of application is 30th September. Govt. of India offers Rs. 1000 for the students studying in I-V classes, Rs. 5000 for VI-X class Rs. 6000 for Intermediate to PG. For hosteller, the amount of scholarship is Rs. 25000 for Pre-matric and Rs. 30000 for post matric students. Govt. of India will also reimburse the entire fees of the students studying in All India Institutes like IIT, NIT and others. There is no income certificate. Candidates has to submit self declaration of Income on a Rs. 10 stamp paper. The Maximum income limit for Pre-matric scholarship is Rs. 1 lakh whereas for post-matric scholarship it is Rs. 2 lakh.
