Govt increases petrol, diesel prices

Mumbai, September 08: The government on Tuesday has decided to make increase a small amount in petrol and diesel prices.

The petrol and diesel rates are going to be increase by nine and fourteen paisa per liters respectively.

The increase rates will become activate from Tuesday midnights.

According to the Ministry of Petroleum sources the rates has been increased due to the following government’s decision to raise the commission paid to petrol pump dealers.

Petrol prices in Delhi will rise by 11 paise to Rs. 51.56 a litre, while diesel will be costlier by 9 paise at Rs. 37.71 per litre, an Oil Ministry official said.

The increase in petrol prices across the country is in the range of 11 to 12 paisa per litre, while diesel will be around 9 to 10 paisa per litre more expensive.
