Telangana TDP senior leader and politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today alleged that the State government has literally clamped restrictions on government financial transactions since last month.
Addressing the media at NTR Trust Bhavan, Ravula alleged that due to unofficial restriction of the government spending, payments of Asara pensions, Arogya Sree, fee Imbursement and other welfare schemes have been stopped. The funds of employment guarantee schemes have been diverted and even payment of Mid-day meal funds were also stopped.
The State government was claiming that it was spending several crores of rupees for welfare, but it was not clear where it was expending these funds, he expressed doubt. Ravula demanded that the State government give details of funds spent on irrigation projects so far. He also wanted to know where the government spent Rs five crore allotted in the State budget. The government should inform the people on how much money it spent on irrigation projects so far and quantum of funds borrowed from banks for these projects, Ravula said. (NSS)
