Government Hospitals in Telangana State will provide better health services on par with private and corporate ones, according to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He exhorted the government doctors, staff and employees of the health wing to offer the best services to the poor, which is the aim of the government.
Health minister C Lakshma Reddy, MP B Narsaiah Goud, Telangana Government Doctors’ Association Chairman Veeresham, Secretary Srinivas, Chest Hospital president Ravinder Goud, leaders Nagender, Lingam Goud and Jupalli Sridhar Reddy and others called on the Chief Minister at the Secretariat and they welcomed the government’s cooperation for the hospitals and extended support on the proposed shifting of Erragadda Chest Hospital to Vikarabad. They urged KCR to fill vacant posts in the department and provide employment to the eligible and find solution to their long pending demands.
Later, the Chief Minister said his government has allocated sizeable funds to hospitals, including Osmania, Gandhi and others for development on par with private ones. “The government wants to encourage doctors and staff working in rural areas with special incentives and subsidies and consider offering more HRA, he said. He also advised them to work with total commitment.
A workshop will be conducted soon on improving government hospitals, he said. KCR also said they will offer adequate funds to improve standards of health services by acquiring latest technology, apparatus and paraphernalia. (NSS)
