One of the Govt. schools facing government’s apathy is Govt. High School Muazzam Jahi, Tappa Chabutra. The 50 year old school has 5 classes in only two rooms. Though the school building is 3 storied but there is not a single toilet in the entire building. The contractor which has stopped construction after laying 3 slabs due to non availability of budget says that the toilet is not included in the contract.
With the absence of toilet students and teachers face lot of difficulty; students have to go to nearby houses to answer the call of nature. A total of 75 students are taught by 3 teachers in the school which is run sans a headmaster.
Chief Minister had announced that the government had released thousands of crores of rupees to provide basic necessities to the schools. Now the question arises where have all those rupees gone?
