Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said the State government will make efforts to develop Erukala community in the State.
A delegation of Erukala community leaders called on Srihari at his residence here and submitted a memorandum for space in Greater Hyderabad and a building, priority in education and employment.
Responding on their appeal, Srihari said he will make efforts to fulfill their demands and plead with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on their behalf. The State government will consider steps to set up Ekalavya Erukala schools in old 10 districts in the State. Srihari also said he will talk to the officials to support the Erukala community to continue their profession of pig rearing. (NSS)
