Govt. to give priority to Muslim women

New Delhi, August 28: Minister for Minority Affairs Salman Khursheed has assured that the Central Government will give priority to Muslims women. He gave this assurance to a delegation of All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA).

The delegation that was led by Subhashini Ali presented the charter of demand for Muslim Women to the Minister. The memorandum has the sign of about 75 thousands Muslim women.

Salman Khursheed said the demands which have been made by the All India Democratic Women association are among the priority list of Government. We are monitoring this issue seriously. In this charter the AIDWA has demanded the equal social, educational and financial rights for Muslims women.

The National Convention of Women strongly denied that the responsibility of Educational and Social progress of Muslim Women should be on Muslim only. It has been demanded that the budget for the Muslim women should be 15 percent. The other demands include schools with Hostel in Muslims majority area, establishment of ITI, increment in scholarships, development of Madrasas on the basis of Bengal, Health Centre in Muslim localities, loan facilities for Muslims women and priority for them in jobs.
