Hyderabad, January 20: Government is gearing up to reorganize State Minority Commission and a list is being finalized with chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy in connection with the selection of chairman and members.
Highly placed sources told that chief minister will sanction names for minority commission shortly. It must be recalled that National Minority Commission has recently advised the government through its recommendations sent to state government, to reorganize the Minority Commission so that minorities may approach the commission for settlement of their issues.
In fulfillment of the National Minority Commission’s recommendation, chief minister has started proceeding for the reorganization of State Minority Commission and called for the list of chairman and members.
Appointment of a high court or Supreme Court retired judge is being mulled for the post of chairman.
