UP govt forms 3-member committee to grant NOC to colleges

Lucknow, January 18: The Uttar Pradesh government has formed a three member high-level committee to grant no objection certificate (NOC) to colleges, who want to start new courses, officials said here today.

“The committee will be chaired by Special Secretary and others include Joint Secretary and Director Higher Education,” they said.

Till now, introduction of new courses in colleges was subject to approval from divisional commissioners, district magistrates and regional education officers.

As per the government order, the NOC would be granted only after proper inspection of colleges, its infrastructure and basic facilities, they said.
