West Godavari, November 17: Minister for Women and Child Welfare Sunitha Lakshma Reddy on Wednesday stated that the government would fill all vacant posts in Anganwadi centres in the state.
Talking to media persons after performing puja to Lord Shiva at Pancharamam in Palakollu in West Godavari district to mark the Karthika month, the Minister said that the government has already taken the decision to fill all posts lying vacant at Anganwadi centres in the state. Nearly 1,000 posts are lying vacant in Anganwadi centres and the government would issue a notification for filling them soon, she said.
Stating that the government was committed to welfare of women in state, Sunitha Reddy said the government has decided to construct a Stree shakthi Bhavan at a cost of Rs 25 lakh in all mandals in the district. She said that the buildings would be constructed for Anganwadi centres with the financial assistance of NABARD.
