The State government today announced it will fill 3,943 posts in the Health and Medical department, including doctors, surgeons, resident medical officers, staff nurses and others.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave a green signal for filling the vacant posts in the department. The government has sanctioned these posts to Vaidya Vidhana Parishat and asked the officials concerned to take required steps. The posts include 1,191 posts of Civil Assistant Surgeons, 685 deputy civil surgeons, 453 RMOs, 562 staff nurses and others.
It may be mentioned here that the government was spending huge funds to acquire latest equipment and machinery for the government hospitals to provide best health services on par with private and corporate hospitals. The government has released Rs 26.87 crore to Medical Education department. (NSS)
