TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that the State government had failed to implement the Right To Education Act in right earnestness.
Naidu was addressing a gathering after handing over a financial aid of Rs 10,000 to a degree student Divya Jyothy from the Kodali Charitable Trust and NTR Truust in the NTR Trust Bhavan. Divya Jyothy is from Ventrapragada of Krishna district.
Naidu said that the NTR Trust was dedicated to take forward the ideals of late N T Rama Rao. He said the Trust was set up to provide education, health care and employment opportunities to the eligible living in villages on par with their urban brethren. He said that the Trust was striving for the welfare of the poor, orphans and weaker sections. He lamented that the Central and State governments had totally failed to implement the Right To Education legislation. He said that private educational institutions were harassing the poor students and subjecting them to mental stress as the government was not reimbursing their fee on time. He warned that the government would not be forgiven by the future generations, if it failed to address the problems faced by the education sector.
Kodali Charitable Trust Chairman Kodali Ravi, members Mandava Anil Kumar, TNSV leader Appalaneni Praveen and others participated in the program. (NSS)
