Govt extends VRO, VRAs application dates

Hyderabad, January 05 (INN): The State Government has extended the last date for submission of applications for the posts of Village Revenue Officers (VROs) and Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs) to January 18.

Addressing a video-conference with Districts’ Collectors at the State Secretariat here on Wednesday, Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy said that the date has been extended from December 28 to January 18 to help the aspirants.

The candidates would be able to download the hall tickets from January 27 to February 7. The examination for posts would be conducted on February 12 while the evaluation would be done from February 15-27. The results would be announced on February 29 and the government is planning to handover the appointment letter on March 8.

The Minister informed that so far, 10,87,211 aspirants have applied for 1172 VRO and 6063 VRA posts.

The candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 200. The fee for reserved categories is Rs 100. The age limit for VRO has been fixed as 34 and for VRAs it will be 35. Five years age relaxation would be given for SC/ST/BC candidates.

The examination for VRO will be conducted in morning hours followed by VRA examination in the afternoon. The examination will be conducted in the objective-type questions format. (INN)
