Govt. to elicit public opinion on districts; draft notification today

Hyderabad: Telangana Government is all set to elicit public opinion before taking a final call on the formation of new districts with borders as it already began discussions with political parties.
The Government is releasing a draft notification on Monday which will be in public domain to receive suggestions from the people. The Government which called an all party meeting on Saturday has preferred to put the draft notification in public domain and invite the suggestions on the revenue divisions and new districts and Assembly segments. Besides giving advertisements for wide publicity through media the government is releasing the draft notification which will have all the details of the new districts, revenue divisions and borders as also Assembly segments.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who addressed a press conference on Saturday after the all-party meeting followed by Cabinet meeting on the issue, has made it clear that the people can make their suggestions to the people for one month. Then the government will take a final call by calling another all-party meeting, he maintained. The government has prepared its mind to carve out 27 new districts from the 10 districts for smooth administration and reach out to the people. (NSS)
