Govt. disgruntled over lackadaisical attitude of Minority Welfare

Government is not satisfied over the pace at which the schemes are being implemented by Minority Welfare Department in Telangana. Chief Minister’s office directed the officials of Minority welfare to take measures for effective implementation of the schemes. Out of the total outlay of 1150 Cr only 400 Cr. Rupees were spend during the current year.

The major cause behind the slow implementation of the schemes is said to be the absence of separate minister for the department. It must be noted that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has held the Minority Welfare portfolio with him and has assigned the work of looking after the affairs of the department to Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali. Besides that there is no coordination between the high officials of Minority Welfare Department.
