The Chief Minister Office (CMO) today dismissed reports of about thee lakh files pending with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. A section of media has been publishing baseless stories without verifying facts with the concerned office and giving wrong information to the people, the CMO said in a release here. Since January last year, it has received 13,000 files and cleared more than 12,000 files or above 92 percent.
However, some files related to legal complications and a few which needed departmental probe, were pending with the Chief Minister’s Office, the release said. Files relating to people’s problems and policy matters, which need urgent attention, were cleared on day-to-day basis after consulting the officials concerned.
There is no question of delay in clearing the files and about 90-92 percent of files have been disposed off in a speedy manner, the release added. UNI
