To bring more accuracy, liability and transparency in the government degree college system, the Telangana government has decided to place all information on the websites. Details of all govt degree colleges like infrastructure, faculty member registrations, attendance of the students and faculty, will be made available online on the respective college websites from the next academic year.
T govt has directed the officials to update online data with in a month which would be linked to the human resource management system. A few colleges like Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet, Indira Priyadharshini Government College for Women, Nampally already have their websites.
“We made it mandatory for all the colleges to upload details on the website by the commencement of the next academic year.
The officials say that government colleges have better Faculties compared to the private institutions. However due to poor publicity for the colleges, enrollment has not been up to the mark. Not just sticking to the government degree colleges, the government is also mulling to the replicate this system in the government polytechnic colleges too.
