CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao has alleged that by constituting Standing Committees, the State government has conspired to deny rights of the Opposition parties to talk and participate in discussions on all issues in the House.
Speaking at the media point on the premises of the Assembly, Sambasiva Rao pointed out as the CPI members have been appointed members only in four standing committees, they would get a chance to discuss on the four subjects only. Even the big parties in the House would also not get an opportunity to participate in discussions on all issues, he added. He charged the government with killing the time of the House in the name of Standing Committees.
Reminding that the adjournment motion notice given by his party on power shortage issue today was rejected by the Speaker, Rao alleged that Andhra Pradesh was top among the States, which was imposing power cuts in the country. His party would raise its voice on various issues during the no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy Government, when it came up in the House, he maintained. If all Opposition parties remained united, the ensuing budget session would become the last Assembly session to Kiran Kumar Reddy government, he added. (NSS)
