Finding fault with the TRS government for closing GOs website, Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has alleged that the TRS government closed the website thinking that people would approach the Courts if there were mistakes in the GOs.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Monday, Marri said the people should know the details of the GOs and asked the officials to think on the issue. He reminded that some people approached the Courts on perusing the GOs issued in connection with IAS officer Smitha Sabarwal’s court case and change of NTR Stadium into Kalabharthi Bhavan, Marri said, adding that the TRS government closed the website thinking that people would approach Courts on GOs.
He also asked the State Election Commission to give the details of votes polled by all contestants in the recent GHMC elections officially. He said the Congress was approaching the Court and it needed the votes’ details. SEC Commissioner Nagi Reddy threatening the officials that he will issue show-cause notice if any official gave the votes’ details to the candidates contested in the GHMC elections. Marri said the SEC has to provide the votes’ details suo moto as per RTI Section-4. (NSS)
