Govt. to auction Dawood Ibrahim’s Mumbai properties

New Delhi: Under SAFEMA (Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators) Forfeiture of Properties Act, Finance Ministry decided to auction six properties on 14th November. Out of these six properties, three belongs to Dawood Ibrahim and his family members, India Today reports.

Ministry of Finance published an advertisement for the auction. In the tender, it is also stated that interested parties can contact competent authority for any queries.

It is also reported that private auctioneering firm will conduct E-Auction and public auction at the India merchant chambers at Churchgate. The process will start at 10 am.

Following are the three properties of Dawood Ibrahim which will be auctioned.

Shabnam Guesthouse: A double storey building located at Yakub Street, Bhendi Bazar. Reserve price is Rs 1, 21, 43, 000/-

Damarwala building: It was the home of Dawood Ibrahim and his family. His brother, Iqbal Kaskar used to reside here till a few days ago. Reserve price is Rs. 1, 55, 76, 000

Hotel Ronak Afroz: In 2015, this property was auctioned and a former journalist won the bid. However, as he failed to pay the amount, this property will be auctioned again. Reserve price is Rs 1, 18, 63, 000.
