Govt. of A.P. has taken a decision to increase land registration charges to the extent of 4% it is also proposed to increase registration charges on gift deeds and settlement deeds. Mr. Y. Rama Krishnudu, Finance Minister of A.P. took this decision in a meeting of Revenue Officials held yesterday. He claimed that the policy of Govt. is “Take from the rich and give it to the poor”. Finance Minister wants to increase the tax on liquors also. He also proposed to implement “One time settlement” scheme to collect Rs. 1000 crore of arrears.
