Governor’s Call to Medicos

Governor E S L Narasimhan today said that instead of touching and physical monitoring of patients, the medical system has changed and patients’ disease is being determined by various health tests/examinations.

He was speaking as chief guest at 18th and 19th annual function of NTR Health University here. The governor distributed certificates to the students who have completed their medical education.

On the occasion, Narasimhan asked medicos to change their attitude. Merely earning money should not be their aim, the patients should be treated on humanitarian grounds. ‘We should maintain values in our medical profession.  We should also stop asking the patient whether he has insurance cover’.

The governor asked medicos to work in rural areas to provide medical facilities to the poor people. (NSS)
