Governor ESL Narasimhan has prayed for the growth and prosperity of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He was speaking in the Alai Balai programme organised by Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreyya as part of Dassera celebrations at Jal Vihar, Necklace Road here on Sunday. The Governor said that the people of both the Telugu speaking States should always remain united and never allow differences to crop up amongst themselves. He praised Dattatreyya for successfully organising the event for the past several years. He said events like Alai Balai, where everyone participates while setting aside their political and personal differences, would help in continuation of healthy relationshiop between the two Telugu speaking States.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also praised the Alai Balai programme which encourages friendship and brotherhood. He hoped that Dattatreyya would continue to organised Alai Balai for several more years in future.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that Telugu people were still one despite the bifurcation of State. He assured that he would continue to work the development of both the States. He said nothing could divide the hearts of Telugu people.
Assembly Speaker Madhusudan Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao, Telangana Congress chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, BJP president G Kishan Reddy, Rajya Sabha MPs R Anand Bhaskar and V Hanumantha Rao, TDP senior leaders Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Revanth Reddy and several other leaders of different political parties participated in the programme.
