Governor urged to invite Naidu to form Government

Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan was urged to invite Telugu Desam President N. Chandrababu Naidu to form the government in the residuary state of AP ( Seemandhra).

delegation of TD Legislature Party today called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and submitted a letter informing that Chandrababu Naidu was elected as the leader of the TDLP at its meeting in Tirupathi yesterday. Hence the delegation appealed to the Governor to immediately invite Naidu to form the elected government in the state.

The leader of the TDP in the Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu later told the media that the Governor had sought from the delegation the date, time and place of the swearing in ceremony. The Governor was informed that the same would be furnished by evening.

It might be mentioned here that Chandrababu Naidu had decided to take the oath office on June 8 and the swearing-ion ceremony, expected to be a gala affair, was planned at a vast ground of Nagarjuna University which is between Vijayawada and Guntur cities. Though Naidu proposed to have the oath taking ceremony at an auspicious time in the morning, the TDP leaders persuaded him to postpone the same for the evening keeping in view the intense summer heat.

Chandrababu Naidu had extended personal invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the NDA ministers, Party President of all the NDA partners, 11 Chief Ministers including KCR besides a guest list of 5000 people. Brisk preparations are going on at the venue and also unprecedented security measures are put in place keeping in the presence of VVIPs on the day of the swearing-ion ceremony. (NSS)
