Governor E S L Narasimhan participated n the closing ceremony of the marathon organized jointly by Hyderabad Runners and the Airtel at the Gachi Bowli stadium.
The marathon, which started on the Necklace Road, concluded at the stadium. The Governor participated in the closing ceremony enthusiastically.
Speaking on the occasion, Narasimhan said that marathon was not a running race. He said such events generate enthusiasm. The Governor and the first lady Vimala Narasimhan distributed prizes to winners of the event.
Badminton star Gutta Jwala, Cyberabad police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and others participated in the marathon. (NSS)
