Hyderabad, September 30: All indications are showing that the State Governor ESL Narasimhan is involving himself more than needed in the administration of the state. Highly placed sources inform that the Governor is in regular touch with the central intelligence bureau and has been sending reports different from the factual situation.
It is also being said that the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy who lacked experience – as he was not even a minister before occupying that high position – has also been heavily leaning on the Governor for guidance.
Police is clearly taking a tough stance with regard to the Telangana agitation. This has became clear on several occasions when they arrested minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy or when they have beaten up Telangana employees JAC leader Swamy Goud and Harish Rao. Police have allegedly hit the private parts of Swamy Goud. This treatment is generally reserved by the police for hardened criminals. The way they have adopted it towards the man leading the agitation, is indication that they want to act tough and also show their toughness publicly.
Informed sources say that this toughness is courtesy the Governor who was a police officer himself. He is also possibly enacting a dress rehearsal of his own role in future, if the state has to be brought under Presidential rule.
