Hyderabad, April 13: Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan today prorogued the Andrha Pradsesh Assembly and the Legislative Council with effect from yesterday.
In a notification issued today, the Governor said in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of clause (2) of article 174 of the Constitution, he prorogued with effect from April 11, 2010 the fourth session of the Thirteenth Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly which commenced on February 15.” In another notification, the Governor said he also prorogued with effect from the April 11, the Eleventh Session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council which commenced on February 15.”
