Governor praises KCR’s vision for ‘Bangaru Telangana’

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has praised the vision of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for the development of Telangana State.

Addressing the second anniversary celebrations of Telangana Formation Day at HICC on Thursday, the Governor said that the Telangana was fortunate you have a man like KCR. “Telangana is fortunate that you have in KCR a man with a vision, his cabinet colleagues, Members of Parliament, Legislatures and advisors who convert his vision to a mission, and the hard working bureaucracy which term encompasses all working hands from junior most to the senior most from the Panchayat level to the Secretariat to the Chief Secretary, from Police Station to the DGP to execute the mission and fulfill the vision. When all these three elements converge you have a Sangam of happiness and joy,” he said.

The Governor also cautioned against any negligence in the development of Telangana. “Now the new state is a reality and if we relax even for a moment at this point, history will never excuse us. We all have to work with enhanced energies to reach our targeted goals in a mission mode. Our focus should be both on urban and rural people. Farmers, Agriculture, Artisans and the rural poor have been of primary interest,” he said.

“It is well understood that for a farmer, his crop is his wealth.  To ensure this the government has initiated some very useful programmes like mission Kakatiya and Re-Engineering of Irrigation projects. The fruits of these I do hope will become visible soon. The Telangana Government has initiated measures to ensure adequate power and over the next two years the government hopes to add on to its power generating capacity to ensure uninterrupted nine hours power supply to the farmers. Apart from major irrigation projects, the Government through its Mission Kakatiya has embarked on a mission to revive of an estimated 45,000 minor irrigation tanks at 9,000 tanks a year which will provide a perennial source of water supply to the farmers,” said the Governor.\

The Governor also praised Mission Bhagiratha, new industrial policy and other schemes of Telangana Government.  “With all the humility at my disposal, I appeal to one and all please join hands in this endeavour and achieve your “Bangaru Telangana”, he said. (INN)
