Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal on Tuesday announced that Governor ESL Narasimhan has nominated three persons — Kantheti Satyanarayana Raju, Nandi Yellaiah and T Ratna Bai – to the Legislative Council under sub-clause (e) of clause
(3) of Article 171 of the Constitution read with Article (5) of that Clause.
Releasing GOMs No. 62, General Administration (Elecs. F) department dated March 3, 2014, Bhanwar Lal has stated that with the term of four members — Dr P V Ranga Rao, Angoori Laxmi Shiva Kumari, Dr M V Rao and Kanukula Janardhaan Reddy — expiring on March 29, 2014, the Governor nominated the new members in pursuance of Section 74 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951).
