(Siasat News) Governor of A.P., Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan spent a very busy day in New Delhi yesterday. He met Congress President, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister, Mr. Hamid Ansari, Vice President and Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad who is incharge of A.P. affairs. He submitted a detailed report about Telangana to these leaders. Central Govt. is actively considering Telangana issue. After consulting the allies, UPA is considering to convene an all party meeting on Telangana issue. In this context, Governor’s Delhi visit has assumed importance from political point of view because the Central Govt. is communication a message through the media that it is making a serious attempt to take a decision on Telangana issue. Congress High Command is giving more importance to Governor’s report rather than the report of the Chief Minister.
The Governor spent nearly 45 minutes with Ms. Sonia Gandhi and about 30 minutes with the Prime Minister. He presented a report on the Telangana March slated for 30th September and the Bio-diversity conference starting on 1st October, the functioning of the Govt. of A.P., the disruption of Assembly proceedings by opposition parties and other related issues.
He has given a report on the probable violence on the occasion of Telangana March, the reaction of Seema Andhra leaders in case separate Telagana state is formed and the situation of the state if it is retained integrated.
He has also expressed his opinion about the Congress benefiting out of the merger of TRS in it.
Governor was evading the media men since morning yesterday but after meeting Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, he faced the reporters. He contradicted that he has given any report on the present state of affairs in Telangana Region. He evaded the question why he has met Ms. Sonia Gandhi. He told that media men are very well aware of it. On the question of Telangana March, he said that the Govt. would take care of it. He told that the representatives of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee met him and they have presented a memorandum to him. He told that the Govt. of A.P. is making all the necessary arrangements for it. He told the reporters that he would meet the other Central Ministers today in New Delhi.
