Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of A.P. and Telangana States will participate in Republic Day Celebrations of both the States and he will hoist the national flag. It is the first time after the bifurcation of A.P. State, the Governor is hoisting the flag. It is a privilege for Mr. Narasimhan that he is getting an opportunity to hoist National Flag in both the States. There is a gap of 2 hours between the celebrations. First, he would hoist the flag in Vijayawada and then return to Hyderabad for hoisting National Flag at 10:30 a.m. He will host at home jointly for both the State in which CMs of both the States, Ministers and higher officials will participate. Govt. of Telangana has allocated Rs. 10000 each for Republic Day celebrations in each of the 9 districts of Telangana State.
