Governor, CMs express condolences over Kaka’s demise

Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao (Telangana) and N Chandrababu Naidu (Andhra Pradesh) and other leaders have expressed their deep condolences over the demise of senior parliamentarian and former Union Minister G Venkatswamy on Monday.

The Governor described Venkatswamy’s death as a huge loss to the State and country. He said his services for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden were laudable.

In his condolence message, KCR said Venkatswamy has played an important role in the formation of Telangana and was highly concerned about the development of new State. He said Venkatswamy’s services for the poor would be remembered forever. He directed Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma to make arrangements for the funeral with full State honours.

Chandrababu Naidu also expressed deep condolences over Venkatswamy’s death.

Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatreyya, Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah, APCC President Dr N Raghuveera Reddy, TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy, TPCC Vice-President Mohammed Ali Shabbir and other leaders also conveyed their condolences and described his death as a big loss to the people of Telangana and poor people.
