Governor, CM greets people on Id-ul-Zuha

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Friday greeted the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States on the occasion of Bakrid (Id-ul-Zuha).

“Bakrid holds immense significance in the Islamic faith and is celebrated across India and all over the world with great enthusiasm. Bakrid symbolizes sacrifice, absolute devotion to God and compassion for the poor. It also emphasises the principle of sharing what one has with others,” the Governor said in his message.

“Let this spirit of charity and goodwill towards all be cherished and nourished,” the Governor added.

In a separate message, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao conveyed his wishes to the Muslim Brethren on the occasion of Bakrid. He said that Allah may bring joy, happiness, peace and prosperity on this blessed occasion. (INN)
