Junior Doctors all over the state have continued their strike for the 2nd day today protesting against the Government’s decision making rural/tribal service mandatory. With this essential medical services at Gandhi and Osmania Hospitals in Hyderabad and all the Teaching hospitals all over the state have come to a stand still. The talks the government held with the striking Junior Doctors yesterday have ended inconclusively.
Meanwhile the government has promised that it would solve the problems of the junior doctors within a month and requested them to end their strike. The government has also warned that the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) would be invoked if they do not withdraw their strike. (NSS)
